Speaker McCarthy, What Ever Happened to the Release of the Jan 6 Videos?
Asking for the country.
Who else has access? Who did you make a deal with? Why only the horn guy?
We need to know who has had access so we know which media outlets are censoring information by refusing to let the public know? What’s the stall? What about all the Congress people that pushed for release? What happened to accountability?
The country still has many questions but have not received any real answers. I’m sure you will say no outlets have requested access except for Tucker Carlson. How is that working out? He is no longer on the air so was your agreement to review the January 6th footage with Tucker Carlson or Fox News? Where is the footage about the Ashli Babbitt incident? Why was a film crew roaming around inside the capitol and with Nancy Pelosi? None of these questions have been answered or even explained to the American people. As usual Congress people are all talk and no action. Do not use the excuse that these things take time, they are not political expedient. Congress can move very fast if it is their own interests, such as pay raises but when it comes to whats best for the country they move at a snails pace.
In 2010 you wrote a book with Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor titled “Young Guns.” The promotional listing said, “America urgently needs a new direction. But who will provide it? The time has come to move the country forward with a clear agenda based on common sense for the common good. THERE IS A BETTER WAY.” Seems we are still going in the same direction. Stop using the old trick of talking down to people to make you look superior, people are tired of it. Do something unusual, be honest. Same with the excuse that you only control one Legislative branch, the House of Representatives, you control the purse strings, the budget, that has enormous power. Forget about foreign countries, you need to get our country back in order.
The American people are tired of the usual political whitewash. Unfortunately Congress is gearing up for re-election so it doesn’t look like much is going to happen. All we have to do is look at the past and see those that are not re-elected looking at a future on so-called conservative media. Same old not existent do nothing politicians, good on speeches and hearings but as usual no action. I know some of you think that everything you do is right, in reality to the rest of us, you do nothing. The sad part is no one believes any of you. You’ve done nothing for too long and you lost the trust of the American people.
I’m sure all these questions will be answered and spun to make certain Congress people look good and tell us how hard they are working to solve the situation. Your cheerleaders will tell us we are wrong and they are right and they are working hard for the people. That’s a phrase that has been said for many years usually before and election. Years ago one of the political parties conventions use to end by playing the song “Happy Days are Here Again” and I always wondered “Happy Days” for who? It never happened for regular hard working people just the politicians and the rich. I’m old enough to remember and that is why I never trust a politician.
